Dr Jo Fitzsimons

Jo has been a part of Flourish Learning Trust since 2001.  Prior to joining the Flourish Specialist Education Services, she was a Curriculum Manager and teacher at Margaret Brearley School for ten years before being appointed Deputy Head in 2012.

With a doctorate in SEND from the UCL Institute of Education, Jo has a specialist interest in profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism and sensory learning.  She has been involved in a wide range of international and European research projects and conferences offering training, support and advice on various aspects of SEND practice.
